Sprite Animations With jQuery

jQuery.spritely is a jQuery plugin build with pure HTML and JavaScript for creating dynamic character and background animation. It’s a very light-weight plugin with a few simple methods for creating animated sprites and dynamic scrolling backgrounds.

You can use it on any html web page and the animated object can fly over the page or you could animate a background, without affecting any other elements. It works on all major browser including IE6, Safari on the iPhone and iPad.

    I really like the things that are coming up after the release of HTML5 and CSS3. This Sprite is also very cool it seems. I had heard about it before too but did not try it that time but will surely try this time

    This is pretty neat, though I don’t think I’ll be implementing it on any of my blogs soon. Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t think I want animated designs on my page.
